With the interest in filmmaking growing all the time, big business has done its part to help aspiring directors and editors get the training while selling their products and services and making a good profit on the side. Many of these individuals with the ambition to be the next Zach Snyder (Watchmen) or Christopher Rouse (The Bourne Ultimatum) decide that four years of film school is not for them. Enter software like FCP, probably the best non-linear editing program out there right now. The problem with how to use Final Cut Pro, though, is its complexity for beginners. But once you get the hang of it, you can dream again of walking up the podium for your Oscar acceptance speech.
