Holy cow – gas is expensive

Just got back from a 1050 mile trip to Wisconsin and back… and my bank account is feeling a lot lighter. Driving from my parents house in Wisconsin to Iowa alone cost me over $30 – when I first started making this trip on a regular basis that same stretch of road would have cost me about $11 to drive, not $30.
Anyway, it makes me a little happier to know that I have the best gas card which at least gives me a 5% rebate on gas purchases. With gas prices soaring well past $3/gallon every little bit helps in my quest to keep my budget in check.
