technology transfers with lhd cars

By admin | June 27, 2008

Our ability to adapt continually amazes me. Take cars, for example. In several European countries, people drive on the left hand side of the road. Yet, we in the United States are able to drive European cars, and vice versa. LHD (left hand drive) cars that that have been adapted when they were originally designed to drive on the right side of the road amaze me. I don’t know how they managed to have basically the same vehicle, but with the steering wheel, drive shaft, and all kinds of other technological things are on the other side. I know I have enough trouble doing things in a mirror! I can’t imagine doing something like that with a car.
