Americans Fearful of Fewer Job Opportunities

By admin | July 5, 2009

There are just so few Job Opportunities currently in the US. In June the jobless rate went up to 9.5% which is up from 9.4% in May.  The most alarming statistic, however, is made up of the long-term unemployed. 4.4 million of the unemployed, which is close on 30% have been out of work for 6 months or more. The problem for many is the length of time that benefits continue for. Forget idleness caused by people getting long term benefits. There is so much uncertainty now over the future that the government has to give whatever help is needed.
