Diversifying with managed funds

After a couple of weeks of putting doing some research into investing, I finally sat down over the weekend and read a few articles. I think I will look at investing in a few different managed funds for diversification. I found a site that provides performance data on a lot of different funds, and rates the funds from 1 star to 5 stars. Makes it easier having it in one place. I narrowed the field down to 6 alternatives, now all I need to do is choose the final 3 to invest in from this group and apply. I want to make sure I have it all done before I go on holidays in two weeks.
