medical billing by software versus books

By admin | August 30, 2009

Medical billing can be done by the manuals like international classification of disease 9th edition, current procedural terminology from American medical association and healthcare common procedural coding system by the CMS.  Most of the biller do prefer by books. Some companies will do from the software. Software coding may increase the speed but the accuracy will matter, with books the coding is more accurate and helps in faster reimbursement.  Mainly in the medical billing training onlineor class room training the coding and billing will focus more on coding from the books. However the objective eof learning is pass the exam, in exam you cant use the software form medical billing.
