By admin | August 28, 2009
If you are planning to apply to a Federal government job for the first time, you might not be familiar with the government lingo yet. Because the Federal government works differently from the private sector, there is a lot to learn. One of the most complex elements is the classification of positions and pay, which is done through the general schedule. Depending on the level of the position you are applying to, you will need different types of resumes. For example for GS level 1 to 15, you will need a standard Federal resume while above 15, you will need an SES resume, which is a resume formatted for the Senior Executive Service.
