Cremation Memorials

By admin | May 11, 2009

There is an interesting new trend in personalizing memorials for loved ones known as cremation memorials. Cremation is certainly not a new idea but perhaps due to cost it is becoming much more popular. Cremation Memorials make sense since we commonly memorialize our loved ones with headstones and gravemarkers. So, even though it might not seem to be a mainstream practice, taking some of the cremated remains of the deceased and adding them to a piece of personal art or other type of memorial has actually been done in many cultures for centuries.

Now, a portion of the cremated remains of a loved one can be made into gems, memorial glass art, keepsake jewelry, decorative urns and even mixed with paint to create a portrait.

If cremation is part of your funeral preplanning, becoming educated on the types of cremation memorials is a fantastic idea
