Authentic Oak Flooring

When I was a child we had friends who lived in a renovated farmhouse. The one thing that I’ll never forget is the flooring. I had never seen anything like it. The kitchen had a brick floor. The rest of the house had dark oak hardwood flooring. The planks must have been ten or eleven inches in width. I remember our friends saying they found the flooring in an old home in Pennsylvania. Today one would be hard pressed to be able to find or afford authentic oak hardwood flooring, but we do have many different laminate choices that are very good and high quality.
