Foolproof Sauna Construction Guidelines

By admin | January 31, 2008

There is nothing more relaxing and no better way to help relieve stress than spending time in a sauna. If you’re considering constructing a sauna keep this things in mind. The smallest size you would want to consider is 3 ft. x 4 ft., which would hold one comfortably, two snuggly. The smaller the sauna the quicker it will heat up. 7 ft. is considered an optimal ceiling height in a sauna. A sauna should never be larger than 9 ft. x 9 ft. Today’s sauna kits offer lots of different shape configurations. Consider a separate dress/undressing area. Every seat in the sauna should be at least 12 inches away from the stove for safety and comfort reasons. Keeping these things in mind during planning and during sauna construction will help insure you have a comfortable sauna.
