Modern Furniture Designed by George Nelson

I learned about modern furniture designer George Nelson after I saw the Nelson bench for the first time. I was in a small art gallery in Soho with my husband. The bench was sitting in the middle of a room and it seemed as important a piece of art and sculpture as everything else in the room. I wanted one for my home. I went home and did an online search. I found out that George Nelson didn’t only design the Nelson bench but many of the most popular modern furniture designs such as the Lolipop sofa and the Coconut chair. Today my husband and I have a beautiful Nelson bench in black in the entryway of our home. It’s a beautiful and stylish statement.
