My personal alarm saved me from a dangerous situation.

I work downtown in an attorney’s office. I often work later at night than I am originally scheduled to work. It just depend on how busy we are. In the winter, I often do not get out of work until after dark. I live in an apartment building close to the office, so I walk to and from work almost as often as I ride the bus. One night, after working late and while walking home, a stranger approached me. I could tell by his demeanor that he was up to no good. I was afraid that I would be mugged or raped. My personal alarm saved me from a potentially dangerous situation. I pulled the alarm from my purse and sounded it. It got people’s attention, and they came to my aid as the stranger fled the scene.
