Practical use of round japanese tub

I am putting in a long needed guest bathroom in my home. When it cam to the bathtub area we sort of ran out of space. We already put in the stand alone shower and wanted some sort of tub. A friend suggested a round japanese tub. I had not heard of such a tub and wondered what they were all about and where I may find one.
