Too long a cord

My first electric lawn mower was a Black and Decker Mower which I purchased back in the early 70’s. I had a quarter acre lot and most of it was covered by a house. By the time I had moved a few times my lot had grown to an acre and the cords had grown accordingly to cover the yard. I was relieved when they came out with battery powered lawnmowers. As long as I can remember to keep the battery charged before I need to mow the lawn, I can get the job done quietly and even more cheaply than with gasoline.
