I forgot to put the sand in the bottom of the outdoor banner stand.

I hope I don’t get fired. I really screwed up, and my boss is going to be so mad at me. I work at a retail store in the mall. We are having a big sale this weekend. We are advertising all over the place, and I was in charge of the outdoor banners. I was to erect the banner stands and attach the banners to them. I did that, but I forgot one important step. I forgot to put the sand in the bottom of the outdoor banner stand. I thought the store would be slammed with customers by the time I arrived on Saturday morning. Instead, the store was empty. The banner stand had all blown over, because there was nothing in the bottom to weigh them down.
