O Gauge
By admin | May 2, 2008
When you were a kid did your dad or grandfather have a Lionel train? Boy, mine sure did. The memory of my grandfather running his trains around that cool little town is still burned into my memory. That’s why Model Railroads and Railroading is such a great hobby for fathers and sons. Now, Lionel trains run on three rail track, and are either O or O27 gauge track. The difference is the tightness of the curves. O gauge track’s curves are not quite as tight as O 27, and therefore longer cars are able to make the turn. Either way, I get a wave of nostalgia every time I see a Lionel train!
