Spanish made me better at English

I remember back in high school that when I started to learn to speak Spanish, something strange started to happen. My ability to understand what the heck was going on in my English class started to make a lot more sense. When I was in grade school English was never a good subject of mine. I just couldn’t identify my nouns and verbs and any of that stuff.
But after taking Spanish classes, by my junior and senior years in high school, English was no problem. And I think that it was taking Spanish classes that really made the difference for me.
