Get a Raise

One way to make more money at your existing job is the oldest way: Get a raise . Here are two tips to help you.
1. Be sure you deserve it. If you are not already a great employee, start doing a better job weeks in advance of asking for a raise. Learn what your boss really values and try to excel in those areas.
2. Make sure the boss knows you’re worth it. It isn’t always enough to do a great job, especially in large organizations where you are somewhat anonymous. In that case, you need to not only improve your work performance, but you need to make sure the boss is aware of your value to the company. You might mention your accomplishments to him, for example, followed by a question like, “what else do you think I might do to help the companies bottom line?”
