The guidelines for the personal representative clearly stated that they should live nearby and be familiar with the financial situation. And on top of that they should posses organizational skills. If this was baseball I would have had three strikes and would be out of the ball game. Since it was executor duties the court went ahead and appointed me to the position anyway. In desperation I hired a Florida probate attorney to work with me in settling the estate. I would highly recommend that if you are going through the same thing that you take advantage of a trained professional to assist you in the process.
