Get Your Old Bike Up and Running

By admin | February 19, 2009

Ever since I inherited my first 1950s vintage Scwhinn, I’ve been a avid cyclist. And I have the scars to prove it.

It all started when I was 4. — I turned that candy-apple red beauty onto the virgin sidewalks near my house and I was off. The polished chrome fenders glistened in the sun and the whitewall tires hummed as they spun.

I rode that bike for what seemed like forever and then parked it in favor of larger bikes and newer styles. But I never forgot it.

One summer a few years ago, I drove to my parent’s house and picked up my first bike. After making a few calls to get some well-needed Bike Parts and Bicycle Accessories, my candy-apple beauty was up and humming again.
